Free writing is an exercise that works for all ages and skill levels. You can play with words without worrying about mechanics. Even pre-readers can free write if you’re willing to transcribe their words as they dictate!
Do you have a child who hates to write? Playing with words can be a fabulous way to take the pressure off and just have fun with language.
Free writing is a delightful part of our family’s life, and one of our favorite ways to play with words is through writing poetry. In this video, I give some tips and strategies for including poetry free writing in your family’s life, and share some IRL examples from our family!
